The recently organized Model Railroad Club is proceeding at full speed in the construction of the pike, but the layout is still in the planning stages. A considerable amount of work has already been accomplished, but much remains to be done in the way of landscaping and scenery. Facilities are available to provide unlimited opportunities for those interested in model railroading to exercise their skill and ingenuity. The partially completed layout located in the south end of the Community Building, is open for inspection. The ultimate success of the club will rest largely in the number of people showing an active interest and new members are cordially invited. Announcements of regular meetings will be posted in the Daily Information Sheet.

Kids 6 To 60 Thrill To Model R. R. Club's Exhibit

Nearly 600 kids from 6 to 60 gladly shelled out enough nickles and dimes to make a $32.80 contribution to the United Charities Jamboree Saturday night and felt they had really received more than their money's worth.

They were the model railroad fans who were fascinated by the miniature streamliners and steam locomotives spinning around the huge lay-out erected by the BHOD Model R. R. Club in the Community Building.

Undoubtedly the club will be swamped with membership applications after their excellent exhibit.
