Richard Leslie "Dick" Sebring

Richard Leslie "Dick" Sebring of Gold Canyon, Arizona, passed away on April 6, 2007 at the age of 62 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Dick was born June 17, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up in Igloo, South Dakota and graduated from Provo High school in 1962. He went on to graduate from Northern State Teacher's College in Aberdeen, South Dakota with a BS in Industrial Technology in 1966. In 1979 he received a Master of Arts in Education degree at ASU in Tempe, AZ. Dick worked in the Mesa schools for 32 years as a teacher and coach at Mesa H.S., Red Mountain H.S. an Skyline, H.S.

He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer "Bud" and Mary Sebring. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Steven (Shoshana) Sebring, Lynn (Joe) Sullivan; step-children, Phil (Robin) Clevenger, Cammy Clevenger, Mindy (Rod) Norem, Cindy (Glen) Tenpenny; brothers, David (Lynda) Sebring, Dennis (Dianne) Sebring and seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Gold Canyon United Methodist Church, 6640 S. Kings Ranch Road, Gold Canyon.

In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, Red Mountain Athletic Department or Gold Canyon United Church (stained glass fund).

Arrangements entrusted to Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care.
