Fall Social Season Opens With Dance At Officers' Mess

The Officers' Open Mess opened the fall social season, Saturday evening. September 19, with a large gathering of club members and guests, who spent a very enjoyable evening dancing to the music of the "Jumping Jacks".

One of the highlights of the evening was the delicious lunch served to order from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The menu included deluxe hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and bacon and tomato sandwiches, french fries, coffee and donuts.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Schneider and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Theisen served as the committee for the evening and deserve a well-earned vote of thanks for their efforts.

Officers' Club Acquires New Look

The Officers' Club will take on a new look this week, with the moving of the bar to its new location in the former billiard room. This will provide more adequate bar space and will also provide more dancing room for the members in the Lounge. At present, it is planned to hold a grand opening of the remodelled Club on the 19th of December.
