V. F. W. AUXILIARY NEWS

Defense Auxiliary No. 3530 met on Tuesday, April 23rd, with very good attendance. Routine business was taken care of. Mrs. Lydia Haas was ballotted upon and elected to membership. The Unit voted to donate money to buy a basket of groceries for a needy veterans' families. Bessie Swenson as Patriotic Instructors and Frances Lundeen as Treasurer were installed in their respective offices. The box of articles was sent to the Fort Meade Hospital.

The picture of the Auxiliary Exhibit on Army Day was on display and several expressed a desire to purchase one. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, May 14th, with Sisters Bordeaux and Fallis as hostesses. A light lunch was served after the meeting. Sister Scott won the attendance prize.
