Edgemont: Duane Lee Angerhofer, 83, of Edgemont, S.D., passed away March 20, 2010, at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, S.D.

Duane is survived by his wife, Ruth, of Edgemont; sons, David (Elaine) Angerhofer, of Mont Pleasant, Utah, Norman (Sheila) Angerhofer, of South Jordan, Utah, Paul (Rebecca) Angerhofer, of Highland, Utah, Daniel Angerhofer of West Valley City, Utah; daughters, Cynthia (William) Balaz of Loma, Colo., Kathy (Charles) Bell, of Sandy, Utah, Becky (David) Knotek of Clinton, Utah; stepson, Kevin Leffler, of Dewey, Ariz.; sister, LaVaun (Bob) Palmer, of Mansfield, S.D.; 35 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Amy Romero; son, Philip Angerhofer; sisters, Joyce Angerhofer, Ceilo Heidreich; and granddaughter, Amelia Angerhofer.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs, S.D., with Dr. J. Edwin Coates officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.

A memorial has been established in Duane's name to benefit the Ham Radio Association. Contributions may be sent in care of Ruth Angerhofer, PO Box 540, Edgemont, SD 57735.

Interment will be held at Warner Township Cemetery in Warner, S.D.
