Dagny J. Bauer passed away March 10, 2005 at the Imboden Creek Living Center in Decatur, Illinois. Dagny was born Feb. 5, 1912 in Luverne, Mn. She taught school for 45 years mainly in the vocal music area. From 1943 to 1965, she taught at Provo Schools. Her husband, Duane were married on April 6, 1940 in Roscoe, SD. Duane passed on in 1982 in Mt. Carroll, Illinois.

Dagny is survived by 3 daughters & 1 son. 6 grandchildren, many great grand children & one great-great grand daughter. Children include: LaVonne & William Cavanagh of Mt. Carroll. (LaVonne PHS Class of 46) David & Adele Bauer of Brooklyn Park, Mn. (Dave-PHS-Class of 59) Diane & Dan Pape of Vancouver, Wa. (Diane PHS-Class of 63) and Debra & Tim Coziahr of Decatur, Illinois.

As the Lutheran church organist and vocal music teacher at Provo schools, Dagny influenced many with her love of music. The Provo Reunions were a joy to her as "her kids" could reconnect with their music teacher. Her music lives on in all of us that she taught and inspired.
