BETTENDORF, IA Vincent P. Berens, 70, of Bettendorf, IA died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Trinity Bettendorf.

Private family services for Vincent Berens, 70, of Bettendorf will be at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Inturnment will follow at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion #26. Cremation rites have been accorded. Cunnick - Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Vincent passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Trinity Terrace Park Hospital, Bettendorf. Vincent Peter Berens Jr. was born on May 12, 1939 in Gregory, S.D., the son of Vincent and Pauline (Williams) Berens.

Vincent worked as an Independent Contractor for several years in Florida prior to moving to Davenport. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1961.

Survivors include his brothers; Tom (Phyllis) Berens of Davenport, Lawrence (Doris) Berens of Gregory, S.D. and a sister; Maryann Berthelsen of Sioux Falls, S.D. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Rita Berens.
