| The "Men from Mars" who accomplished the technical and tricky demilitarization of 5,200 cyanogen chloride bombs at Black Hills Army Depot. The salvage and reuse of the bomb casings, which cost $104 over twenty years ago, not only paid for the demilitarization operation but saved John Q. Taxpayer $365,912 as well. The casings were shipped to another defense installation to be loaded with a conventional type explosive. Part of the crew of 26 "Martians" are: James Moody, Melvin Stewart, Arnold Monroe, William Bruce, Leonard Randall, James Zimiga, Ralph Titus, Larry Sandland, Raymond Goodroad and James Lanphear. |
