June 18, 1954 CWC candidate; Odean I. Olson; Chief of the Ammunition Branch, Storage Division, Odean Olson has been connected with depot activities since 1942 except for a brief break in service after a 1947 RIF.
He farmed for himself in North Dakota prior to accepting work here. Depot records indicate he was commended by the Commanding Officer for his actions during rescue operations after an igloo magazine explosion in 1950 and again in 1953 received a letter of appreciation for the excellent manner in which he accomplished the duties of his position during the Korean emergency.
During the last five years he has assisted in his branch with the yearly Red Cross and United Charities Drive.
