Duane and Irene Bauer were siblings. Duane was married to Dagny (Jordahl) Bauer. Irene was married to Jim Rickard. The Rickard family were early homesteaders in the Provo area and Jim, his brother Leonard and their father Harry Rickard worked at BHOD for many years. More on the Rickard family.
The Bauer family came to the Provo area during the early years of BHOD and were long time residents of Igloo. The family included LaVonne Nelsen, daughter of Dagny from previous marriage; Dave; Diane; and Debbie.
