The Class of 1946 and their sponsor, Miss Ferrero, were guests of honor at a banquet Thursday evening, May 2nd, sponsored by the B & PW Club and the Kiwanis Club. Following the banquet the entire group repaired to the Recration Hall where the seniors were again the honored guests at a concert presented by the Girls Choir of the Nebraska State Teachers College of Chadron, Nebr. The class and Miss Ferrero wish to take this opportunity to thank their hosts for the honor shown them and for a very pleasant evening.
Two films were shown in the High School this week. Both Home Ec Classes viewed a film on "Thread of Fashion," a film depicting the making of thread, fabrics and modeling costume. "Electrons on Parade" was exhibited for the benefit of the General Science, Physics, and Chemistry students. It portrayed the making of electronic tubes.
The Seniors and their sponsor left at 2:30 Wednesday on a picnic. After touring Wind Cave they returned to Hot Springs to the plunge, a supper, and a show. All reported a good time. The Seniors elected to take no regular full skip-day this year but rather to be given Senior Week. Any Senior passing in all subjects does not have to attend school the last week.
