The teachers are not novices in the handling of firearms as Williams holds a Life Master certificate from the National Rifle Association and Stewart holds the NRA's Expert certificate. By presenting their cards, showing successful completion of the course, these graduates are eligible to receive a free hunting license from the State of South Dakota.
It was graduation time for these Black Hills Army Depot youngsters who had just successfully completed the Hunter Safety Course of the National Rifle Association and the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Commission. Although law requires a minimum for four hours instruction, these lads and lass were given eleven hours on what and what not to do with firearms. The accredited instructiors, members of the sponsoring BHAD Rod and Gun Club, were:
