Ordnance Depot To Celebrate Tenth Anniversary On May 10

On May 5, 1942 Black Hills Ordnance Depot was placed under Ordnance Command. Col. H. G. Hamilton, Commanding Officer of the Depot has designated May 10 as the day for a 10th anniversary birthday party to which all Federal employees working here and other depot resident are invited. The Steering Committee named named by the Commanding Officer to work out arrangements for the depot celebration are Frank W. Begert, Chairman; and Donald F. Karaus and Jack D. Lee members. Various subcommittees are already lining up a full program of events to provide continuous entertainment during the afternoon and evening. Highlighting the day's events will be athletic events in the afternoon for contestants of all ages, a barbecue with all the trimmings and a free dance and movie in the evening. Rides for the kiddies will also be provided during the afternoon.
