Depot's Prize - Winning Float
A prize-winning miniature igloo was the float entered by the Black Hills Ordnance Depot in the
Fall River County Fair Parade at Edgemont on Labor Day. The installation's entries in the parade,
besides the igloo, consisted of a fire truck, a "weasel" and a red convertible with two lovely BHOD
gals in western garb passing out copies of the WALRUS. The lovelies were Margo McElhaney and Mary Heldman,
chauffeured by Royce McElhaney. Driver of the float was Warner Sisley and the "weasel" jockey was Harry Lehman.
