Capt. Leon Gordon Is Army Hospital's New Commander

Captain Leon L. Gordon is the new commanding officer and post surgeon at the Army Hospital.

A native of Indiana, he moved to Denver with his parents when six and received his education in the Mile High City's public school system and the University of Colorado.

After receiving his degree in medicine he interned at the El Paso City and County Hospital in that Texas border town and then took up private practice in Portland, Oregon.

Following a year's postgraduate work in New York, in 1945, he moved to Lafeyette, Colorado, where he practiced until his recent entry into the army.

While a resident of Lafayette, he was honored by his colleagues by being made President of the Boulder County Medical Association.
