A party for the BHOD women was held last Thursday evening, at which games were played and refreshments were served. Clare Kinsley entertained with an Irish song, called "Paddy Mc Grau, the Tinker."
What kind of an April event do BHOD women and girls want? Tell Virginia Varvel.
Next Sunday there will be the monthly Vesper Service, following a five o'clock buffet supper at the U.S.O. club. For the Vespers "The Cross of Christ", a set of beautifully colored slides with the accompanying Passion story, will be shown and read, and everybody will join in the illustrated hymn, "In the Cross of Christ I Glory."
At 8 o'clock at building M-35 at the depot, this same service will be held. All BHOD residents are invited.
Birthday dances have now become monthly events. Everybody born during the current month may invite a partner and have birthday cake at M-35. The poor people who had birthdays in January got left out, so we'll catch up with that cake next Tuesday at 7:30.
Children who have moved out of Edgemont miss some of the game equipment at the U.S.O. Club, so, somebody will be out at Barracks M-35 with the following games from 1:30 to 4:00 on Saturday afternoons:
|Chinese checkers||Treasure Hunt|
|Authors||Color books and crayons|
|Ski ball||Tricky Sticks|
Parents are invited to come with the children.
